RA Summer Show 2024

1 / 6

In 2024 we were honoured to have our work featured in the Royal Academy’s Summer Show through the inclusion of a new piece in the world-famous architecture room.

Curated by architecural collective Assemble around the theme Space for Making the room reflected a low-carbon approach to curation with off-the-shelf industrial racks and wall systems full of abstracted objects and artefacts of architectural production and works illustrative of the process of design.

In between fragments of machines for cutting and extraction, partial wall build ups, construction elements, studio casts and studies we displayed a wall-based panel entitled St Raphael’s Community Centre: From the Workbench, a three-dimensional showcase and palette board representative of a future facility created with residents in Brent, North-west London.

Referencing the process of making, discussions, experiments and tests, the piece was created by our in-house workshop team and was made up of wood and plaster material fragments, partial building elements, textures, images and samples that were used in the creation of one of our new studio models.

This work was on display in the Architecture Room at the Main Galleries, Burlington House, London between 18 June – 18 August 2024.
