This month, the studio joined Deputy Mayor of London for Housing Tom Copley, Deputy Executive Director for Development at Peabody Angela Wood, Cain Peters of The Hill Group and Councillor Dixie-Ann Joseph of Haringey Council for the official launch of new housing at our St Ann’s Phase 1a project.
First appointed to the project in 2020, with planning achieved from 2022, the studio has steered the design and delivery of the 240-home project (39% affordable) with clients Peabody and Hill Residential that also includes the restoration of a suite of heritage buildings that will become new community workspaces and commercial spaces.
Now known as North Gate Park, Phase 1a is part of our masterplan for the former hospital site supported by the Greater London Authority that by 2032 will provide 995 homes (60% affordable and 150 directly owned by Haringey Council) alongside new green spaces, shops and community facilities.
Tom Copley said: “I am delighted that City Hall funding has been able to support the delivery of much needed new affordable homes at North Gate Park. The site was originally purchased using the Mayor’s Land Fund, and it’s great that new residents will soon be able to move in and start enjoying the new development. North Gate Park will provide more local people with a place to live in Haringey and the Mayor and I are proud to help deliver homes for this community as we work to build a fairer, more prosperous London for everyone.”
Angela Wood said: “Finding an affordable home in London isn’t easy, so it’s great to see that the first residents will soon be moving into North Gate Park. This has only been possible because everyone has worked together towards the same goal. As well as delivering much-needed homes, we are building a new community where people can enjoy green spaces and feel part of the neighbourhood from day one.”
