Commissioned by the London Borough of Enfield, Bury Street West reutilises a former council depot site to create a collection of 50 mixed-tenure homes and a public open meadow. Designs respond directly to the project’s position on a piece of Metropolitan Open Land (MOL) by creating a staggered arrangement of homes which seeks to preserve light and views through the site towards Salmons Brook to the south. The design team have worked closely with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Enfield Council to evolve designs which are sensitive to the site’s varied setting and create a new type of suburban neighborhood.
