Planning approved for Lexden and Steyne Road housing

20 Oct 2022

Our renewal of The Steyne Estate in the London Borough of Ealing has received planning permission! Located adjacent to Acton Town, our proposals will create 188 mixed-tenure, low-carbon homes, community spaces and revised landscaping which will respond to the site’s undulating topography and two 1960’s estate towers; Moreton and Rufford, which will be retained.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Designed to meet the housing needs of local people, the neighbourhood will feature a dedicated building for older adults, low-rise family dwellings and a 20-storey residential block addressing the busy Steyne Road. Considered interventions in the landscape and public realm will help to realise the potential of the unique site with pedestrian and cycle-friendly routes providing safer routes to local transport and amenities and a series of multi-generational play and social spaces integrating existing mature trees and new, bio-diverse planting.⁣⁣
