Unanimous approval has been granted for two planning applications to progress the next stages of Meridian Water, including strategic infrastructure works and an OPA for 2,300 mixed-tenure homes and civic uses within the masterplan’s second phase.
Enabled by the government’s Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF), site-wide infrastructure will unlock the masterplan through the creation of new roads, bridges and 8ha of parkland which are designed with high-quality placemaking in mind.
As lead developer, Enfield Council are steering the development of this major project, with Karakusevic Carson Architects leading on masterplanning, infrastructure design and architecture, Arup on engineering and planning and Periscope on landscape design.
